Community Development for Disabled People
We develop creative projects to benefit Disabled people including forming new partnerships with community organisations to make their services more inclusive. We also raise awareness of barriers which Disabled people experience and share ideas to improve access to services and opportunities.
Who is the service for?
Disabled People (young people and adults) from all impairment groups and people with a long term health condition.
What does the service do?
We support the voice of Disabled people in consultations and campaigns on services. We do this by building and involving a network of disability/mental health community groups and individuals. We work with providers to create more inclusive social, leisure and cultural opportunities for Disabled people and support Lambeth Council and other organisations to make their services more responsive to the needs of Disabled people. We lead on developing DASL’s offer for young Disabled people and provide administrative and development support to the Lambeth Disability Hate Crime Partnership.
How do we receive the referrals?
Over the phone or via email.
