|Brixton is home to 18 organisations all under the same roof, offering support to live independently in a wide variety of ways and with funding from Battersea Power Station Foundation, We are 336 is opening their doors on the 18th September for the first ever showcase of all the organisations in the building.
Councillor Edward (Ed) Davie, Cabinet Member, Health and Social Care And Councillor Christiana (Tina) Valcarcel, Deputy Cabinet Member Leading on Disability will be there to show their support on the day!
Some charities based at We are 336 are very well known to people in Lambeth and others are very small charities that people wish they knew about sooner whenever they find out about them. This event is open to anyone with a personal or professional interest in Disability and other related issues, like what the social model of disability means; try out accessible cycles that you never knew existed and what all the organisations in the building offer.
The event is on Wednesday the 18th September, from 10am to 3pm. We are 336 is based at 336 Brixton Road, London, SW9 7AA. Please come down, say hello and have a cup of tea with us! Adrian, Manager of We are 336 said, “We look forward to welcoming visitors to our Open Door event. It will be an opportunity to find out about the amazing range of work that happens here to support disabled and older people by our community 18 charities and to meet the people working for them.”
